Mark Making Monday! We explored zig zag, curved, straight, curly and spiral lines. We used our gross motor skills to create a large collaborative piece of artwork. As part of learning about keeping healthy, Reception children have been discussing the importance of taking care of their teeth and visiting the dentist for regular checkups. This week, Reception children we have been learning about how to look after our bodies. We have been learning about what foods we need to eat as part of a healthy diet. We learnt how it is important to eat lots of healthy foods like fruit and vegetables and how we can eat a little cake, chocolate and ice cream. Our key text ‘Oliver’s fruit salad’ inspired us to make our own fruit salad. In literacy, we wrote shopping lists of the ingredients that we needed to buy and today, the children washed, peeled and cut the fruit to make a delicious fruit salad. ... See MoreSee Less
