We serve the parish of St Thomas More and are also twinned with the parish of St Josephs. The church of St Thomas More is a 20 minute walk from school and we enjoy strong parish links. Throughout the year, we gather as a parish and school family to celebrate the liturgical year with children contributing to the organisation of mass and liturgies. These are well attended by our families and school governors.

Our parish priest, Father Dominique, is a regular visitor to school where he works with pupils and staff to enhance the teaching of the RE curriculum and he supports parents and catechists with sacramental preparation for Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
Sacramental Preparation
Our children begin preparing for to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion Programme in the Spring Term.
This is a very exciting and special time for the children and their families.
The children are well supported by their catechists, Mrs Brown, Mrs Appleby and Mrs Goodrum who work alongside them using the booklet ‘Jesus Comes to Me’ to support them with their faith journey for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and to work towards First Holy Communion.
Preparation classes are due to take place after school starting in Spring term with information being sent out to parents.
Parents are invited to an initial meeting and further meetings, in school with Father. Dominique to enable them to support their children as they journey in faith.
We are very grateful for the ongoing support we receive from Father Dominique and our parish catechists during sacramental preparation time and throughout the year.
